Therapeutic Services

How Does It All Begin? When we are young children, we all develop ways of coping that help us get through the challenges we face at that time.  As adults we continue these behaviors and beliefs, even when they no longer serve us. These behaviors and beliefs can harm our relationships and lead to problems like depression and anxiety. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for. I combine methods from solution focused therapy, hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Group Therapy

A counseling group is usually comprised of 6-8 people who meet face to face with one or two trained facilitators and talk about what is concerning them most. Members listen to each other and openly provide each other feedback. These interactions give members an opportunity to increase understanding, try out new ways of being with others and learn more about the ways they interact. The content of group sessions are confidential; members agree not to identify other members or their concerns outside of group.

Trauma

Psychological trauma can affect your life for many years after the event or situation that caused it. It isn’t a problem that’s easily resolved, especially if you try to do it on your own. However, talk therapy has proven valuable in helping people overcome the distress, pain, and dysfunction that come from having lived through the most overwhelmingly threatening experiences.
